After the AAAS (Advancing Science, Serving Society) honored Thor Hanson’s second book, Feathers, with its AAAS/Subaru SB&F prize, they created a lesson plan set for guiding students’ discussions. Hanson’s exploration of the feathers’ history in science, industry, human adornments, nature, and technology provides students a glimpse into the ways feathers affect all parts of our lives.
