“Working on crafting the story into Hotel Angeline has been a pleasure. There’s something about this project that glows when you hold it in your hands, and I hope that readers feel that glow, too,” said Garth Stein, one of the authors who contributed to Hotel Angeline in the real-time writing performance “The Novel: Live!”
Thirty-six authors from the Pacific Northwest gathered together to write Hotel Angeline: A Novel in 36 Voices. The event raised over $10,000 for charity while such renowned authors as Garth Stein (The Art of Racing in the Rain), Jamie Ford (Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet), Elizabeth George (This Body of Death), Jennie Shortridge (When She Flew), and Erik Larson (In The Garden Of Beasts) too turns writing individual chapters for the novel. Innovative, suspenseful, thrilling, and unexpected, Hotel Angeline is a rare treat—a creation emerging from the combined talents of the Pacific Northwest’s best literary voices.
